  • What are reasons for undergoing permanent makeup procedures?

    • Permanent makeup is used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of old age, disease, such as alopecia, chemotherapy, or even a genetic disturbance, scalp micropigmentation to cover up bald spots or adjust the scalp line, and to disguise scars and white spots in the skin such as in vitiligo. It is also used to restore or enhance the breast's areola, such as after breast surgery.

  • How long does permanent makeup last?

    • There are many factors that may affect the longevity our your permanent makeup including; over-exposure to the sun, a person’s own body chemistry, and the degree of care taken to maintain the work. It also depends on the area of the body. For eyebrows if you have normal skin or dry skin typically 12 months to 18 months, for oily skin types 9-12 months or sometimes longer. Just like any procedure, permanent makeup needs to be maintained to achieve longevity. Most individuals will do a yearly or annual touchup to keep the tattoo looking fresh.

  • What factors affecting your ability to receive permanent makeup?

    • Please be sure to inform your technician if you have any medical conditions including but not limited to diabetes, heart conditions, keloid or hypertrophic scarring, forms of hyper-pigmentation especially on facial area, extremely oily skin, acne mdications, any medical condition or treatment that compromises immunity, herpes, cold sores, bleeding disorders, pregnancy, etc.
